The results of Engadget's 2007 Reader's Choice/Editor's Choice awards are in, and the undisputed winner is Apple, with 12 awards. The iPhone alone took home Gadget of the Year, Smartphone of the Year, and Most Anticipated Gadget of 2008 awards from both readers and editors.

The Battle Between InterDigital and Nokia

A small company (to the tune of 275 employees) called InterDigital announced today that it is currently in talks with Nokia over licensing several patents related to 3G technology. Normally, this wouldn't really be news except for the fact that last year, InterDigital got mean 'n nasty and tried to get the International Trade Commission to ban imports of the infringing Nokia phones.

Sony Ericsson Gets Knocked Down (and takes everyone else down too)
