Phone Preview: Nokia 8800 Sirocco Gold
First we had silver, then black, and now we’ve got the gold edition. Nokia 8800 Dolce & Gabbana Edition, anyone?
More about Nokia’s newest 18-carat slider phone in the extended entry.

Let’s start with the price. At 1000 Euros (about $1350 US dollars), we’re looking at one of the most expensive Nokia non-Vertu phones to date. So what do you get for this chump change, anyway?

No matter how you look at it, the 8800 Sirocco Gold (named for a type of wind in the Sahara desert) is all about money, money, money. It’s gold plated in 18-carats, and has a scratch-resistant, sapphire-coated glass display. Come on – it looks like a million bucks.
As for the feature set, we’re looking at similar options as the previous Sirocco phone. Nokia would only reveal that the 8800 Sirocco Gold houses a 2 megapixel camera and 262k color screen. Don’t expect Symbian or Voice over IP or DivX movies – this phone is all about the looks.

awesome…! i’ve it! i’m sellin it for $900..
Hello, do you have Nokia 8800 Sirocco gold? If yes, how much is it? Many thanks. Ligita
