If you didn’t get in on the Nokia BH-100 headset deal almost a month ago, now’s your chance to grab a consolation prize.
Cellhut is selling the Nokia BH-200 Bluetooth headset for $18.99 shipped. Make sure you apply coupon code D2BNK to get the free shipping.
The BH-200 is an entry-level style headset weighing in at 15 grams. It supports Bluetooth spec 2.0 and earlier, and features a battery that lasts for about 5.5 hours (150 hours standby time). I believe the earloop is one of those hard rubber ones which you may or may not feel comfortable wearing.

Okay, so I’ve been carrying around a Nokia N81 (2GB expandable memory version) for a couple of days. It’s small, it’s sleek, and it’s a Nokia smartphone – so it must be a winner, right?
Inside: firsthand impressions of the “phone that feels like a Chinese toy that kills small children due to excessive lead contamination.” According to IntoMobile, anyway.

A two day review of the Nokia N81 2GB.

I missed this one over the holiday break, but Gizmodo reports that Nokia recently filed a patent application for a handheld gaming device that just might be N-Gage #3. (#1 and #2 were failures)

The N-Gage is no longer a taco!

Round Four:
AT&T GoPhone is selling the Nokia 2610 (refurbished model!) for a measly $9.99 shipped. That means, for 10 bucks you get a genuine Nokia “beater” phone that you can take with you on the ski slopes, to the gym, or wherever. The best part is, if for some reason you just aren’t satisfied with your 2610, you can take it out and smash it on the ground. Sounds like a deal to me.

A genuine beater phone: the Nokia 2610.

The rumor mill is open for business: several shots of a previously-unheard-of Nokia N96 device were recently released onto a random Chinese forum site. Judging by the pictures, the N96 is a smartphone with a dual slider and looks that so closely resemble the N81 phone that I’m almost inclined to call it fake.

Nokia’s latest or Nokia’s fakest? N96

Research in Motion, maker of the popular Blackberry line of devices, announced its quarterly results today:
- The company earned 65 cents a share ($370.5 million) on revenues of $1.67 billion dollars, vs. analyst estimates of 61 cents a share
- Blackberry Pearl 8130 CDMA one of the top-selling devices for the quarter
- 1.65 million new Blackberry subscriber accounts
- A larger percentage of subscribers were not businesses compared to last year
- Next quarter’s forecast: 66-70 cents a share, vs. analyst estimates of 65 cents a share
So what does this all mean? Basically that Research in Motion cleaned house and that the Blackberry is starting to shift from the corporate world to everyone else. Then again, if you read that the A-List crowd prefers the Blackberry, you already knew that.

Research in Motion blows through estimates. Again.

Nokia wants you to buy an N82 and go places with the official “Nokia N82 Adventure Pack”. The pack combines the N82, the Sports Tracker software, a Salomon brand backpack, and is currently only available on Nokia’s UK site. Price: 399 pounds. The odd thing is you can only buy the N82 with this mini-bundle – it isn’t offered separately.
Sports Tracker is nothing new – it’s a free app created by Nokia that’s aimed at athletes who want to keep track of their progress with some location-based stats (how far you’ve traveled, how fast, how long it took, etc).

Fill out Nokia’s short form to be entered into the “Music Device Sweepstakes”, the music device in question being the Nokia N76 ultra slim phone. Looks like the era of the “Cool Phone Sweepstakes” complete with cheesy banners is now officially over.
You’ve got until the rest of this year to enter, and the grand prize winners score the Nokia N76 and also $70 bucks. (three winners in all)
