My 5800 XpressMusic Post From Hell
So right now i’m on a train heading to the Nokia Flagship store in New York City. There’s an Eseries event going on there tonight, so stop by if you get the chance.
This post isn’t about the event. It’s just some random musings by me to pass the time.
(this was written before, but only posted now because my 5800 couldn’t copy and paste into a dialog box)
I’ve now learned why i never post using my 5800 XpressMusic. It is extremely annoying. Also, for those who were wondering, WordPress does NOT play well with the S60 browser. Since the aforementioned phone browser wouldn’t let me edit my sentences while attempting to write this post, i had to write using this notes app. I also found out the hard way that typing on the onscreen keyboard while having headphones on is basically impossible.
But onto other, more interesting topics: the N97. If you haven’t been paying attention, the phone is currently on sale at nokiausa.com for only 535.19 + tax. You also get an extended warranty and free overnight shipping. This isn’t a special sale or anything though – Nokia’s site is just buggy as hell. Either way, it looks like tomorrow i’ll be a new N97 owner. Or an angry non-owner if my order gets cancelled.
Update: my order shipped.

I ordered two e63 from their June 20 sale for $167 each. Paid for overnight delivery. Nokia doesn’t even have them in stock (it’s now July 9). On June 24 Nokia offered the e63 on sale for $195. They weren’t even in stock! If you ordered the phones thinking you’re getting the $50 rebate – forget that, it expired on June 30. No phone in hand, no rebate. So, I’ll get my overnight delivery overnight, but, it’ll just take 4 weeks? to fill my order. Maybe Nokia should have a “fill your order” charge. After waiting for 2 hours on a customer care (what a joke) service provider to answer the phone, they said I could cancel my order if I wasn’t happy with their answers about my order. Nokia’s customer service department and website is a big joke!
