Yet Another Weird Nokia Countdown Site Emerges
Forget Nokia’s Open to Anything slogan. It’s now “Open at Own Risk,” Nokia’s latest oddball website that opens with a story about unlocking a box containing the “weirdest clip ever made.” Uh…right. The important thing to grasp from all this is the countdown, which ends in about 124 hours from now, or sometime on July 8th. Full transcript of the Nokia Open at Own Risk site inside…

“Hundreds of years ago, scientists, artists and members of royal families gathered to produce a clip of grande weirdness.
A clip stranger and more amazing than anything that had ever been made before.
But the clip turned out too weird! People went mad from seeing it – it was too much for the common man to handle. Hence the clip was locked away, in a mysterious box with four seals.
The knowledge of how break the seals has been passed down over generations, hidden within the technological masterpieces of history.
Edisons lightbulb, the Wright brothers airplane, Apollo 11 all held the secret of unlocking the box.
A secret that now can be found within Nokia Download, allowing the public – you, to find the key to break the seals. And see…
The weirdest clip. Ever made…”
Spooky, huh? Not only does the story make practically zero sense, there’s an uncharacteristic amount of typos and the whole thing just sounds weak. So I really don’t know what to make of all this.
Of course, since it’s Nokia, I’d expect a new phone release, and the appearance of a “Nokia Nseries” image in the flash file seems to indicate that too. Interesting.
