Preview: Nokia 1508/1508i Phones
If the leaked Nokia 8208 wasn’t enough to whet your CDMA appetite, here’s another one for ya: the 1508/1508i.

Okay, so the 1508 is nowhere near as potentially awesome of the 8208. It also looks like a TracFone.
It’s a CDMA candy bar, with one of those old school 128×128 displays (65k colors supported). At 14.8mm, it’s not too thin, but it’s no N95 either. The 1508, in fact, is one of those phones that I love to call a “beater,” for obvious reasons. And this promises to be one of the few CDMA beaters released by Nokia.
Standout features: speakerphone, stereo FM radio, voice recording, microUSB + 2.5mm plugs.
Battery life on the 860 mAh BL-4C is a little on the short side, pumping out only 3.2 hours of talk time on one charge.
The Nokia 1508 comes in three colors (red, black, white/blue) and will be available in the third quarter of 2008. In select markets, of course.
