Beta Labs: A-GPS Now Available for Nokia N810 Tablet

July 9, 2008

Mosey on over to Nokia Beta Labs for a little taste of A-GPS on your N810 internet tablet. The beta app should shorten GPS lock-on times and “provide improved performance,” using either a wi-fi/WLAN connection or your cell phone data plan via Bluetooth.

To get it working, you’ll need to give the A-GPS app a reference location, or your approximate location on the map. And again if you happen to move more than 185 miles away from there.

Requires OS2008, DIABLO_4.2008.23-14 or later.
