Nokia Concept Devices: Morph

Moving along the lines of Remade and the Aeon, Nokia has a new concept device up for ogling: Morph.

Specifically, Mr. Morph is currently being showcased at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City.

Nokia Morph

So what is Morph? It's a device concept developed by Nokia and the University of Cambridge that's based on nanotechnology, meaning "ridiculously tiny." If you're like me, you've probably heard the term before and dismissed with a wave of the hand and a whatever.

But maybe it's better to see nanotechnology in action first to understand it:

Really, really cool. A phone that could also transform into a number of other devices - watch, keyboard, you name it.

"It demonstrates the ultimate functionality that nanotechnology might be capable of delivering: flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces."

Big emphasis on "might be capable of." Morph won't be crawling out of its cave any time in the near future - even Nokia's press release states that certain aspects of the technology could take up to 7 years. And I couldn't even imagine what a Morph-like device would even cost. Certainly more than a Vertu.
