Qualcomm loses ITC ruling

In an ongoing series of eternal battles between Qualcomm and Nokia, the latter recently won three victories - one for each patent - over the former. ITC Judge Paul J. Luckern ruled that Nokia did not infringe on three of Qualcomm's patents (which were incidentally about 2G technology).

Quote of the day:

"Qualcomm's strategy of pursuing lawsuits around the world against Nokia continues to be rejected." - Laurie Armstrong, Nokia spokeswoman

And We Have Bochum Episode IV: The Other Side

As far as most people know about the Bochum "episode," it involved Nokia, a factory, and a lot of angry workers. (and then Nokia opened up a plant in neighboring Romania) We've heard Nokia's side, who claims that Bochum's labor costs were too high to keep it operating.

More on the Nokia N96 Phone

It's been a good week since the official announcement of the Nokia N96, and I didn't have much to say about it considering Nokia.de's little boo-boo/information leak pretty much cleared up most of the questions. But I'll throw out some thoughts on it anyway...

Preview: Nokia 6220 Classic

Usually when Nokia tags the word "Classic" on the end of a model number, it's an immediate sign that you're looking at a candy bar phone that's not exactly destined for greatness. (see 2600 Classic, 6500 Classic, 3110 Classic for more)

But this time it's different. "Classic" phones don't come with cutting-edge features like 5 megapixel cameras (with Carl Zeiss optics, no less) and assisted GPS. What's going on here?

The latest piece of gossip coming out of the rumor mill: a recent Best Buy Mobile Buyers Guide has a pic of the Nokia N810 tablet in a never-before-seen black color. The caption reads Nokia N810, so at the very least it's a refreshing color change from the boring 'ol silver. Or could it be something else?
