Garmin's nuvifone: looks better than the last phone they made

Okay, so while Motorola's breakup news was big, Garmin's new phone announcement was even bigger. Although rumors of a Garmin-made GSM phone had been floating around the Web for months, the nuvifone took everyone by surprise with its iPhone-like sleekness.

It certainly looks better than the last GSM phone that Garmin released, the Navtalk:

Not too surprisingly, the nuvifone features a GPS. And a web browser that features Google's local search. Oh yeah, and a camera. Does this mean the operating system is powered by Android? It's too soon to tell, but we certainly expect to hear more about it at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona.
