Nokia Multimedia Transfer (Mac Only)

December 13, 2007

Up ’til a certain time ago Mac users found out the hard way that there was no easy way to get stuff from the Mac to the Nokia phone and vice versa. But now, thanks to a Mac app called Nokia Multimedia Transfer, you can easily move multimedia files (photos, music, videos, podcasts) as well as .sis applications/games to nearly any phone.

Current phone compatibility seems quite excellent, with practically every Nseries and Eseries phone up there. There’s even some love for the 5700 XpressMusic, 6120/6121, 6110 Navigator, and 6290.

Nokia Multimedia Transfer is by no means new - it’s been out for a good 6 months but I’ve never noticed it. The good news is Nokia “recently” updated it three months ago.

Requirements: OS X 10.4.9, iTunes 7, iPhoto 6.

Note that this is still in Beta so there’s probably some bugs.

BTW, Nokia PC Suite (for Windows) was also recently updated, and it has a brand new interface - check it out at http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite.
