Deal: Nokia 2610 for $9.99

December 23, 2007

Round Four:

AT&T GoPhone is selling the Nokia 2610 (refurbished model!) for a measly $9.99 shipped. That means, for 10 bucks you get a genuine Nokia “beater” phone that you can take with you on the ski slopes, to the gym, or wherever. The best part is, if for some reason you just aren’t satisfied with your 2610, you can take it out and smash it on the ground. Sounds like a deal to me.

A genuine beater phone: the Nokia 2610.

The 2610 isn’t exactly a crap phone either - sure, it’s budget but in this case that means MP3 ringtones, loudspeaker, built-in IM client, java games, and more fun stuff.

While this phone comes with a SIM card (with $10 of bonus airtime), you can pop in your (AT&T) SIM card and start using it immediately. If you don’t have AT&T as your primary cell phone carrier, you’ll need to get the phone unlocked - something ATT doesn’t do unless you’re a customer for about 90 days. Currently there are no genuine unlocking methods for the 2610 that don’t require a large black “box” of some type.

Like most GoPhone deals, this one will probably go fast.
