Blackberry Pulls Another Service Outage

September 13, 2007

Research in Motion’s ever-popular Blackberry service shut down for an unspecified number of hours last Friday. As usual, RIM provided squat information regarding the outage and subsequent slowdown as emails were cleared from backlogs.

The shutdown is the second in five months, and affected Blackberry Internet subscribers in North America. Not that there’s anything that customers can do considering that there are few alternatives for the email serice. RIM, I’m sure, is laughing all the way to the bank.
