No surprise there. Battery life hasn't improved at the rate of functionality, that's for sure. As for ease of use, there have been studies that found people are getting overwhelmed by features these days.

Question 2: "What features would you want in a new phone?"

5. Wi-fi/WLAN

9. Mobile TV

It always surprises me when a cell phone, especially a newer model, is missing a loudspeaker. I mean, to me this one's a no-brainer. No one wants to slap a phone on their ear for hours, nor do they want to spend money on a Bluetooth pillow. Yet there's definitely some ignorance or neglect on the part of the cell phone manufacturers.

I found it rather funny that the least wanted feature (mobile TV) is probably the one that's being pushed the hardest by the phone carriers (by Verizon and then almost certainly by AT&T once it gets rolled out). I would put this one right up next to the "Larger LCD screen" response to the first question. How can you possibly watch TV on a tiny, not even 2" diagonal screen?

Moving on, in the J.D. Power and Associates' survey, respondents scored their handsets an average of 7.45 in overall satisfaction. However, the "top five factors driving satisfaction" were the following:

1. Physical design (24%)
2. Operation (22%)
3. Features (20%)
4. Durability and reliability (19%)
5. Battery function (15%)

So I guess from the results we can "extrapolate" the following: people just want an easy-to-use, nice-looking phone with long-lasting battery life and hands-free talking.
