The Mobile Phone Telescope

If you’re serious enough about using your phone as a digital camera to, say, buy a Nokia tripod for your phone, then you might as well go one step further: attach a 6X telescope to the back for that extra magnifying oomph.

A new product from Hong Kong (and pretty much only available on ebay as of this writing), the Mobile Phone Telescope combines a scope with 6X magnification with a specialized back cover for your phone. Slap the included telescope back cover onto your phone, screw in the telescope, and presto - you’ve got an instant optical zoom lens.

Most of the time the included “crystal case” cover attaches to the back of your phone, but in some cases it looks like you’ll need to do a complete removal of the back cover.

The good news about the telescope kit is the price: at only $14.99 + $5 shipping, at least it’s affordable. The bad news is using it makes you look completely ridiculous.

The Mobile Phone Telescope is compatible with the following Nokia phones: N70/N72/N73/N80, 668x series, 623x series, and 5300 models. The retail package comes with the Telescope, back cover attachment, and a neck strap.
