Preview? Nokia N81 and N82 Phones
So the big news that was floating around the 'net today was rumor of two new Nokia Nseries phones: the N81 and N82 smartphones.
The rumor/news originated from Symbian Guru, who has since removed the offending images at Nokia's request. Awfully suspicious, don't you think?
Nokia N81 Phone
The N81 is supposed to be the successor of the N91 music phone, a hard-drive carrying wonder that was released and re-released with 4 gb and 8 gb hd configurations. Nokia's N81 is a true slider phone (unlike the N91's keypad cover thing) featuring 8 gigabytes of flash memory and looks that are slightly reminiscent of LG's Chocolate. At least that's what I thought when I first saw the picture. You could say it's a smaller, svelte version of the N91.
Other than the flash memory and the size proportions, however - there isn't a whole lot more. 2 megapixel camera, WLAN, quad-band, secondary camera, Symbian 9.2, and rather unimpressive battery life (music playing rated at 12.5 hours, talk time of up to 4 hours, "gaming time" of 3-4 hours). Symbian Guru also reports that the N81 will be one of the N-Gage platform's launch devices and features dedicated gaming keys.
It is a damn slick looking phone though.

Nokia N82 Phone
Wow. The Nokia N82 packs some serious camera firepower for a candybar phone. For starters, it's got a 5 megapixel auto-focusing camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 30 fps video recording. Sure, it sounds just like the N95, but there's just one teensy-little difference: the N82 has an integrated Xenon flash which is just...wow.
Okay, the other features are very N95-ish. Built-in GPS, TV out, expandable microSD memory. Connectivity-wise the N82 is quad-band with HSDPA, and features Bluetooth 2.0 and WLAN. It's meant to be the successor to the Nokia N73 which had a pretty decent set of features itself.

Unfortunately, Symbian Guru could not glean any information about pricing or availability, so it looks like we'll all have to hold our breath until then.

I've seached for the N82 model on the nokia site but can't get anything on it. Is this fone real?
