The Nokia N76 Phone Starts Shipping

It's offcial: the Nokia N76 phone is coming to a store near you. That is, if the store is located in Europe, Asia, or the Middle East.

The N76: A RAZR with brains.

The N76 is Nokia's first slim flip phone. Packed with a strong set of features for its size, the N76 is an attempt to take over the aging RAZR market. After all, someone's gotta do it.

However, designing a slim phone almost demands sacrifices - the N76 includes a 700 mAh battery that lasts for a record 2.75 hours on GSM. That's quite a bit on the low side, no matter how you look at it.

Nokia occasionally includes some nice extras with certain hyped-up phones, and the N76 is no exception. Through a deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Nokia will include a special voucher that allows the buyer to download five songs from the band Travis free of charge. Of course, this only applies to certain countries in Europe: Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway and Sweden.

Travis seems to be a big name in the UK, kind of like U2 in the USA. Even though they've got quite a few albums out there, I don't think they've ever hit it big in America.
