The Downfall of the Major Carriers?

March 20, 2007

Can a new wave of smaller, lower-cost wireless carriers upend the great titans?

A rather long article at Forbes says that the big guns T-mobile, Verizon, and AT&T better watch out: up-and-coming free wireless carriers, as well as growing wi-fi/VoIP networks could put a major DING into corporate profits.

Mean people (phone carriers) suck.

The solution? Give customers what they want, instead of squeezing every last drop out of them to maximize profits. Stop charging a ludicrous 10 cents per text message. And quit changing company names because it doesn’t make your company any more hip than it was before. And give me a good deal on a cell phone plan without having to refer to a “Cell Phone Carrier Insider Tips Sheet“. Thank you.
