Phone Preview: Nokia 5070 Phone

Let's go back, way back...back to a time when cell phones didn't have color screens or text messaging features. It's the era of the Nokia 5070 phone.

Okay, so the 5070 ain't actually that bad. It's meant to be a budget phone, and it serves that purpose pretty well. At least it has a camera.

It's Series 40 to the core, with the FM radio, mp3 ringtones, java games, etc. There's one new feature that I haven't seen present on any other phones though: Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, which allows you to send short voice clips to friends. I'd assume your network would have to support the feature.

Like the other new phone releases in recent days, the Nokia 5070 phone will be available sometime in the second quarter of 2007.
