RF Micro Gives Warning, Bad News For Somebody
RF Micro is a company that makes radio frequency circuits for mobile phones. Unfortunately for them, on Friday the company warned that lower demand from a "top-tier" customer would negatively affect upcoming quarterly numbers.
According to an independent research firm, RF Micro's two biggest customers are Nokia and Motorola. Nokia is responsible for 38% of the company's revenue, while Motorola gives out 20%.
Everyone knows that Motorola dropped the ball a long time ago. There's no surprise there. The question is, could Nokia follow in Motorola's footsteps?
Investors didn't seem too worried as of market close on Friday. In late trading, Nokia finished the day up slightly (.09%), while Motorola fell a little bit (0.23%).
