CTIA Conference to Start Monday

One of the biggest wireless industry trade conventions, CTIA, starts up in just a couple of hours. Held in Orlando, Florida, the trade show will draw the biggest, the best, and the brightest wireless companies for a merry get-together that will hopefully end in something newsworthy.

Last year, CTIA's "hot topic" was mobile TV, and look how far we got in that department. Expect to see a bigger focus on mobile entertainment, as well as some mobile TV trial runs and content.

Noteworthy is the lack of a certain Motorola CEO's presence - Ed Zander was supposed to be one of the keynote speakers at the conference, but dropped due to "unspecified family reasons." Instead, Research in Motion's president/co-CEO will replace Zander.
