Telecom Stocks Take Heavy Losses After Global Market Plunges

Telecom stocks took a beating today, along with most markets around the world. A nearly 9% drop in the Chinese stock market, as well as fears of slowing economic growth for both the U.S. and China were responsible for the heavy losses.

Just look at these numbers:

Nokia -5%
Motorola -3.38%
Verizon -4.5%
Sprint/Nextel -5.5%
