A Look at eBay Prices

Looking to buy a Nokia phone on that "worldwide garage sale"? Let's see some average selling prices (shipping included) for some recent models.

N93 - $661 N92 - $861 N95 - $1129 N80 - $483 N800 - $380

So my first impression at seeing the results was - what the hell? How and when did the N92 manage to sneak out into the world?

A long time ago I would have gladly paid a nice sum of money for an N92. But I guess I've been spoiled by quad-band handsets and 3 megapixel cameras.

There aren't many N800s (internet tablet) being sold right now. Could it be because people are actually happy with them?

Aside from that, there's not much to be said. The N93 is still expensive, just like the N90 was for a looooooooooong time, no matter that it weighed about 10 pounds and was more dense than a rock.

Not that it's any surprise, but the N95 looks like it's geared up to be the most expensive phone for Nokia's 2007 line so far. No results on the N93i yet, though. Note that all the N95s being sold on eBay are preorders - the real phone doesn't ship until March at the earliest.

A great online tool to keep up with ebay prices while sorting out all the junk is www.fonegrabber.com. Usually pretty up to date, and if a device you want isn't listed, they have a request form and they'll go find it.

fonegrabber is a great site. well, at least this incarnation of it is. i used it back in the day when it was yellow, ugly, and slow.

You'll probably have to wait a bit until your comment shows up, due to the legions of spammers that have set their sights on the Nokia Phone Blog.
