Week in Review (Week of December 24)
Happy Holidays, folks. Hope your Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa/Whatever was more eventful than my own. In this entry: the N76 vs. the RAZR, WiMAX, Nokia in 2007, and Verizon’s ads.

The (only) news in the past week has been the appearance of a new Nokia device at the FCC. Although it’s code named the N00 (or NXX) as branded on the phone itself), no one seems to have any clue as to what the actual model number is. Could it be Nokia’s first phone with a name? Who knows.

Walgreens (in-store) is selling the Nokia 6010 and 6030 phones for $39.99. Factor in the $30 rebate and you’re looking at $9.99 (plus tax) after rebate, with I believe $10 starter airtime.
Compusa is running a promotion called the 12 days of Christmas: basically a warm deal every day until Xmas. Today’s deal is for an unlocked Nokia N80 phone for $599.99.
So Nokia and Brian Eno have teamed up, yet again, to offer you more super-expensive 8800 Sirocco Edition phones: it’s all for a good cause though.
Lots of action this week in the wireless world. In this entry: corruption, hot phones, more Sprint woes, and a ruling that could change the face of phone unlocking forever! Okay, maybe not…
Here we go again. Nokia has released another slew of cell phone cases, and more than I really care to report about here. Time to dive into New Phone Cases: 33 1/3.

Believe it or not, SEGA is still alive and kicking. And they’re still publishing (or should I say licensing) a lot of their older games for use on, of course, mobile phones.
The Virtua Tennis franchise has been around for quite awhile, at least since the dawn of the Dreamcast. (anyone remember the Dreamcast?) For its time, it was an impressive game in terms of graphics and gameplay.

CompUSSR (Compusa to some) is selling the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet for $349 – $100 rebate = $249. Try in-store pickup to save on shipping.
