September 6, 2006 in Nokia Phone News

We’ve seen this phone before. In fact, it was released probably a year ago. Except now Nokia has decided to re-introduce it to the world – as if we didn’t get enough of it the first time.

The Nokia 7360 Phone

The only difference between this model and the previous version is the addition of a new color: Pink. Other than that it’s the same damn phone.

The 7360 is your basic Series 40 phone. It’s got the standard obligatory VGA camera, mp3 ringtones, fm radio, and loudspeaker. I believe the only thing that sets it apart from other Series 40 phones is the metal/glass surfaces. The problem is this is already factored into the price: while typical Series 40 phones will run you anywhere from $0-$100, the Nokia 7360 is selling for 200 Euros. That’s $256 dollars. That’s 256 McChicken sandwiches!

I guess I should also re-mention that the 7360 is triband 900/1800/1900. Since it’s a re-release, there is that small chance that it could land in the USA but it seems highly unlikely given that the old version didn’t make the trip. Personally, for the 256 smackers that this thing will cost, I would just double-down and grab the 7390. It’s a (more) solid FLIP phone (didn’t anyone tell Nokia that candybars are slowly going out of style?).

Tomorrow is another Nokia Week in Review, except it looks like I already exhausted most of the news that’s fit to print for this week.
