How-To: Unlocking the Nokia 6030 Phone via DCT4 Calculator

Here's a handy dandy set of instructions on how to unlock that Nokia 6030 phone you have lying around.

We'll be using the NokiaFREE Unlock Codes Calculator program for the unlock.

First download The Nokia Unlock Codes Calculator v3.10.

Save it, open it up, and run setup. Install wherever!

Load up the Nokia Unlock Codes Calculator program.

The first thing you need to do is go to options! Go to options and check off the "Expert Mode" box located in the second box. This will open up some more options for you.

Now let's get started with the fun stuff. Type in *#06# on your 6030 (or look under the battery) to get your IMEI and enter it in the correct box.

Enter U.S.A. for the next box, and then CINGULAR - Pacific Bell Wireless in the box after that.

MCC+MNC should read 31017000.

Make sure the box under MCC+MNC reads ASIC 2, and change the V2 option to ONE.

Double check your numbers and click calculate!

You should have a series of unlock codes for the Nokia 6030 in the right hand box. They look like this:

#pw+xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx+x# (note: x = some number)

Enter this on your 6030 using the # and * keys where necessary. For the p's, the w's, and the +'s press the * key.

After you hit the final # key your Nokia 6030 should say "Phone Restriction Off" and you're done! Congrats!

The option of "CINGULAR - Pacific Bell Wireless" is the original carrier for the phone, correct? So if the phone is originally locked with T-Mobile, that should be selected?

Also, please clarify what ASIC, V2, and ONE represent.

Thank You very much!!

Please help me to unlock it so that i can use it in US.

Thanks,

Folks,

Note that the Nokia 6030 is a dual-band GSM phone. So if you bought it in the USA, it will only work on 850/1900 networks (N. America).

If you have one from Europe/Asia, it is tied to 900/1800.

Thus, this is not a world phone that you can travel between N. America and Europe/Asia with.

I just got a Nokia 6030 from T-mobile in USA, Silver Spring, and need it unlocked to go to Mozambique. I've been following directions and it isn't working. Help!!

Alexander Norsk on June 22, 2007 5:50 PM said...

Thanks, let me put up the FULL SOLUTION that worked for me.

1)Type in *#06# on your 6030 (or look under the battery) to get your IMEI
2)download Nokia Free application and select options. this is a must.
before you go any further, you have only 5 tries, so be sensible. don't do try 5 if 4 didn't work.
The rest of instructions is as above with a few important differences.

At the insert card screen on the phone, enter the last code of the seven you get (the
one ending in 7) from the NokiaFree program EXACTLY as given, but
WITHOUT SPACES. Double check the code before pressing the final # key.
If you entered it right, the phone should unlock as soon as you hit
the last character of the code.
And last, for those confusing +and PW
ENTER CODE WITH OUT SPACES
Remove sim first, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Code error", don't try again!!
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!!
This is from about 5 different websites, and this is the full solution that worked for me , the 3 previous didn't work!
Information wants to be free, thank you for everyone that shared!
my cingular $10 phone is now t-mobile! whoohoo!

Hi,

I went to Walmart's site to purchase a T-mobile Nokia 6030. It says dual band 900/1800. Would it work in India(Airtel/Hutch)? If yes, how?

Thanks
Rajat

Priyank on July 24, 2007 4:54 PM said...

Hey Rajat, i guess you wouldnot have any problem with dual band. its just your mobile requred duab band.so go ahead and it will work with hutch / airtel and if not then idea.

If your Nokia phone is model # 6030b, v5.24, RM-225 there is no online calculator at this time that will unlock your phone. After having your phone in good standing for at least 90 days T Mobile will send you the unlock code for free (upon request).

I purchased my Nokia 6030 phone March 1, 2007 at Target stores and requested my unlock code from T Mobile on 7/30/07 at 877-778-2176. TM emailed me the code the next day to use with the following instructions:

1. Press #
2. Press * three times = P
3. Press * four times = W
4. Press * twice = +
5. Enter the unlock code
6. Press * twice = +
7. Press 1, then # and the display should read "SIM Restriction Off"

The code they provided me consisted of “15” digits only. Many users of the online calculators are provided a “16” digit code and are “permanently” locking their phone. In addition, I “DID NOT” have to remove my SIM card.

So check to see if you have model 6030b, v5.24, RM-225 by typing on your cellphone *#0000#. If so, you can simply request from TM the unlock code (provided you have had your account in good standing for 3 months, and have added at least 1 refill minutes in any denomination, to your phone). Good luck!

I just bought a Nokia 6030b, v5.27, RM-225 at Target hoping I can unlock it to use my last 3 months' SIM Card contract with Cingular/AT&T.

I used the nokiafree.org unlock calculator and used the first code and last code and neither one worked (2 attempts!).

Then I called T-Mobile and explained the situation: that I want to transfer to T-Mobile once I use the last 3 months with the Cingular SIM-card. T-Mobile told me to call Nokia-USA (888-665-4228) but they told me that only the service provider can provide the unlock code.

Please suggest what to do.

Is there probably a new update to the unlock calculator to get the right code for this 6030b V5.27 RM-225 model?
