Got $1100 to spare? Buy a Bluetooth printer!
I find myself wasting a lot of time at work looking at potential things to write about in this blog. So of course when I stumbled upon the Oneil Microflash 4T Bluetooth Printer, I knew I had a winner!
The Oneil Microflash 4T Bluetooth Printer
Sure, you can buy a Bluetooth printer for $300 - $500, but that wouldn't be any fun to write about.
The Oneil Bluetooth printer can print up to 5800 inches worth of receipts, bills, bar codes, drawings, or whatever you may have on your wireless device on one charge with its standard lithium ion batteries. Charging the battery completely takes about 3 hours.
With a print quality of 203 dpi, you're going to be printing some nice looking receipts.
Note that this printer uses "direct thermal" technology which means you just supply the thermal paper. No ink cartridges, printer ribbons (oldschool!), or annoying toner to change.
One nice feature is that the Microflash 4T printer is completely upgradeable - all software is stored on internal flash memory.
Unfortunately, all these features add up: this big bad baby is $1099.95 at mobileplanet.com. Nasty!
It's good to know, however, that while regular printers have dropped in price like crazy in the past couple of years, good old Bluetooth printers still manage to cost more than an N90.
