Accessory: Another fine Nokia phone case review.

March 20, 2006 in Nokia Phone Accessories

I’m seriously running out of ideas on what to write about. It’s a good thing my last visit to Chinatown involved me getting a free mobile phone case (not specific for nokia phones) to fit my Nokia 6682 phone. And it’s another good thing that I haven’t reviewed it yet.

Read more about this unknown case in the full entry…

It’s pretty tough to identify this case from any other similar case, but this one has some kind of moonish looking logo in the bottom right corner. Also some random chinese characters but that doesn’t help me very much.

Anyway, this is a fairly typical case with a magnetic opening mechaism and a belt clip on the back. I personally find the velcro opening cases to be fairly annoying but the mechanism on this case is very easy to open and close. It seems to hold the phone in place well enough so that it won’t fall out also.

As you can see the case is almost exactly the size of my Nokia N90, and is made to fit a slightly smaller phone such as the Nokia 6682 or 8800.

Of course I had to try squashing my N90 into it.

Nope, doesn’t fit.

I really like this case. When I tried carrying around the Nokia 6682, the case would close tightly enough to really lock in the phone. I now use it for my iPod and it’s great.

I can’t really comment on the belt clip but it looks pretty functional. I don’t use belt clips much because they always seem to me like an easy target for muggers and/or pickpockets.

If you’ve got a candybar phone then I highly recommend this case. They’re all over Chinatown if you’ve got one near you. (that will be my next blog subject)
