Leak: Nokia 8208 CDMA Slider
…and what a leak it is: Nokia posted a product page for a forthcoming device called the 8208, with some very Nseries-ish styling (aka anything that looks like an N81). Which would be nothing new, considering that said Nseries-ish styling has been all the rage this year with Nokia’s GSM phones. Except that the 8208 isn’t a GSM phone, it’s CDMA. Interesting…

And while Nokia releasing a decent looking CDMA phone is already news enough, there’s another zinger: it’s a dual-slider device. (a la N95, N96) A dual-slider that may also include an integrated GPS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, 3 megapixel camera, and support for EV-DO Revision A.
Okay, the rest is pretty standard – “Series 40 Spec”, 2.2″ QVGA 16.7 million color screen, 150 megs of internal memory, microSD support, Bluetooth 2.0, and a talk time of 4 hours.
As usual, there’s no price or shipping date, but you can view the original 8208/8208c page here. It may be interesting to note that the phone is slated to release in China (China Unicom) but possibly “other countries” as well.
And props to MobileBurn for the discovery.
